Restoring more than what is lost
About Dr. Kania

MEET DR. KASIA KANIA, MD, MPH, FACS
Expertise matters.
So does how you're cared for.
Dr. Kasia Kania is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic and reconstructive microsurgeon specializing in advanced breast reconstruction and refined aesthetic surgery.
Known for her warmth and incredible attention to detail, Dr. Kania approaches every patient with empathy and a listening ear. She believes that your care should reflect your unique goals, whether that means guiding you through reconstruction after a cancer diagnosis or helping you feel like the absolute best version of yourself through aesthetic procedures. She listens to you, supports you, and partners with you at every step.

"Seeing that transition from 'I have cancer' to 'I feel like myself again' is one of the most meaningful parts of my work."
I often meet women at one of the most frightening moments of their lives. They are processing a cancer diagnosis, facing mastectomy and trying to understand what their body may look like afterward. Over the following months, I get to watch that story change. Women who initially arrive anxious and overwhelmed often reach the other side of treatment feeling confident, beautiful and restored.

Impact & Approach
Raising the Standard of Breast Reconstruction in Our Region
Dr. Kania is proud to be the first microsurgeon to bring advanced, natural-tissue breast reconstruction to Northwest Arkansas. But her dedication to her patients goes far beyond the operating room.

Empowering Patients
The philosophy behind ARBRA is simple. The patient should be at the center of every decision, and women deserve to know all of their reconstructive options.
Advocating for You
Dr. Kania is a passionate voice for her patients. She played a key role in passing state legislation that guarantees insurance coverage for advanced breast reconstruction techniques in Arkansas.
A Better, Gentler Recovery
Dr. Kania introduced a forward-thinking recovery program to the region, designed to make your healing process faster, more comfortable, and less reliant on heavy medications.
Whole-Person Support
She collaborates closely with a dedicated team of breast surgeons and oncologists to provide seamless, supportive care from your very first consultation through your long-term wellness.

"Our goal is to continue raising the standard of breast reconstruction in our region while allowing women to receive advanced reconstructive care close to home."
When I first began practicing here, many patients did not even know reconstruction using their own tissue was possible. I met women living with failed implant reconstructions, radiation damage, scar tissue and chest wall deformities. Others with the means were leaving Arkansas to find microsurgical reconstruction elsewhere. I wanted to change that.

Education & Training
Education & Specialized Training
While completing my microsurgical fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I began working toward building a program here in NWA. I worked closely with the hospital and operating room teams to coordinate specialized instruments and supplies, develop imaging protocols with radiology, and train staff across the OR, ICU, PCU, physical therapy and occupational therapy teams in the care of microsurgical patients.

Named a 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctor
One of the Most Respected Honors in Healthcare
Each year, Castle Connolly identifies outstanding physicians across the country who demonstrate excellence in medical care. This honor is awarded to only the top 7% of practicing physicians in the United States, making it a significant achievement within the medical community.

Being named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor represents meaningful recognition of a physician’s skill, experience, and dedication to their patients. The selection process is rigorous. Physicians are first nominated by other doctors, meaning the recognition comes directly from medical peers who understand the expertise required to deliver exceptional care. After nomination, candidates are carefully reviewed by Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team.
Outside the Operating Room
"I fell in love with Arkansas, the outdoors, the culture of Northwest Arkansas and the people."
Northwest Arkansas was never part of a carefully constructed career plan. During my final year of residency, I came here with my now husband, Joey, largely as a reward to ourselves and a chance to ride mountain bikes before I started fellowship. We started imagining what a life here could look like. At the same time, I realized there was no practicing breast microsurgeon in the entire state.

This season has also changed me personally. Becoming a mother has brought a softness, connection and perspective I did not know existed. I understand vulnerability and caregiving differently now, and I think more about the family surrounding the woman sitting across from me.

Bridging Reconstructive & Aesthetic Care
Every plan is designed with safety, longevity, and proportion in mind.
We specialize in facial rejuvenation, breast and body contouring, and restorative procedures for women throughout Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding region. At ARBRA, aesthetic surgery is more than appearance — it’s about aligning how you feel with how you look. Whether you’re looking to restore what time, pregnancy, or weight changes have altered, or you’re ready to refine something that has always felt out of balance, our approach is grounded in precision, artistry, and respect for your individuality.
